I worked for a banking and office equipment supplier for eight years.
My role was service technician, and these are notes and machine lists I built up
over the years as I plied my trade and learned the craft of on-site technical service.
Where possible, I'll include the detailed notes, and any information about service
manuals and parts manuals. Also, I'll try to include parts sources whenever possible.
I invite you to share your information as well. While this trade tends to be fiercely
territorial, I learned that information sharing is an incredibly valuable resource
and can be done without encroaching provided you share through a neutral mechanism,
such as the neutrality of the web for example. If you find competitors for equipment
you are responsible to maintain, my suggestion would be to make networking connections
outside of the territory.
